Tucked away in a quiet corner of Dempsey is Min Jiang restaurant, which serves refined Chinese fare - in both food and decor. With the latter, rattan accents and pebble-toned flooring complement nearly any colour palette here.
C wanted decor that fit her intimate solemnisation and her beautifully embroidered blue cheongsam. We settled on blush, blue, greens and some whites in the form of cascading phalaenopsis orchids to convey a modern oriental vibe, tapering each individual hedge with lines of spirea and seasonal exochordia (what some might call Western cherry blossom) for a sleek look.
We didn't forget the tables, of course- while she bedecked the smaller 4-seaters with some dried baby's breath she'd saved previously, we added large jars and low centrepiece arrangements for the larger wooden tables at the back of the restaurant that her relatives were all too happy to bring home.
