When you think of hotels with British colonial architecture, two come to mind - Raffles Singapore with its iconic white facade and Intercontinental Bugis with its Peranakan interiors. T & L chose both.

We explored a couple of options, but eventually chose the most in line with the venue - white plinths and concrete Roman-style vases to accent their morning solemnisation against the green of the Raffles lawn (coupled with white umbrellas for the bridesmaids as photoshoot props).

We saved some floral volume to deck the aisle, too - so their extremely well-behaved ring bearer could run down an aisle decorated with pops of sunny yellow and pale blush.

Since they had a long break til dinner, their bridal team hauled the entire set to Intercontinental less than 10 minutes away and we re-styled the hedges, sans plinths, to frame the fairy-light-lit stage.

L sent a bunch of florals from her hedges to a good friend of hers for pressing, so we made sure to include her favourite daisies and Billy buttons amid a huge variety of garden roses. That was before the entire ballroom headed off to their afterparty, of course.
